Definitely one of my Top 10 favorite Zion-building quotes:

We ought to desire to build up the material Zion; and while we may not be commanded in these things, we should, as the revelation which I have read says, be willing to do many things of our own free will and choice.

Some might rightfully wonder if my interest in building Zion now, before the Lord calls his Saints through the prophet to build the New Jerusalem is “running out ahead of the Brethren”.  This quote (and dozens of others) suggest that we can use our agency to build Zion any time we wish under what I call the-many-good-things-of-our-own-free-will clause of D&C 58, as referenced here by Apostle Woodruff (Wilford’s son).
